The media totally screwed up yesterday covering that story because they got half the story and ran with it. The entire video shows what really happened and that dude was dead wrong taking that poster and tearing it up. The media should have that woman on to tell her side of the story along with the photographer who asked to see it in the first place.
ReplyDeleteYeah when I saw that the woman was being arrested and the other teabagger looked like he was getting away I was so fucking mad. This is pre civil rights all over again.
ReplyDeleteThe teabaggers, birthers, etc want this to be a race war but it is so much more than that. They enjoyed their oppressive ignorance being in charge of the country for 8 years and they want it back. They don't like that an overwhelming majority of Americans decided to move forward and at least try to be better. This is the actual Culture War and any shit prior were just practice runs. They are trying to use race to drive wedges and keep some folks sitting on the sides but what they really want is to be in control through oppression even if it means they end up with nothing.
ReplyDeleteI am reading a lot about racial wars and the interesting part of them is that most of them have little to do with race and more to do with affiliations with assume state power. It is interesting to see that one of the main arguments against Obama is his legitimacy. By discarding him and projecting him as someone illegitimate, right wings are attempting to once again monopolize the state national power as an offensive tactic. What they do not know is that more people are not buying it that their news media are presenting us with. I know that the internet has fucked them royally hence they are using this town halls meeting for photo ups propaganda of their shit.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Kitty: this is beyond just race wars, but a war of who will have control over information and who deserves the truth and who can be force fed propaganda. This is more dangerous than just race. It's almost a religious war. Religion dictates that its followers not ask any questions, but just nod your head. Race acts as a perfect cover.
If there was ever a time we should not be asleep at the wheel, it's now.
